Quick Feed Automatic Horse Feeder

No more wasted food. No more punching the clock. Quick Feed Automatic horse feeder is a large, rugged feed hopper with snap-Lock lid and a big 50 Lb capacity. Has a 24 hour programmable, perpetual timer that automatically dispenses from 1/2 to 5 cups per servings at times & frequency you choose every day without resetting. Use for horses, cats, dogs, pot-bellied pigs as well as small livestock – such as sheep, goats, pigs.

Experts have proven animals are healthier mentally and physically if fed numerous small meals on a regimented schedule. It more closely mimics a horse's natural grazing patterns. Stall vices, colic, destructive boredom, obesity, overfeeding illnesses, and other health related problems as well as food waste may be alleviated by this type of program.

It is designed to feed from 1 to 12 times in a 24 hour period. Automatically dispenses from 1/2 to 5 cups per servings at times & frequency you choose every day without resetting. Feedings may be scheduled within minutes of each other for larger amounts or hours later for additional feedings.
For Example: Set the feeder to dispense 5 cups of grain at 8:00 A.M., and an additional 1 to 5 cups of grain at 8:05 A.M. simply by setting the clock accordingly. Once times are set, feeder will dispense each day at these times until settings are changed.

Quick Feed dispenses food automatically. Simply install 2 AA batteries (included) for battery backup, plug into a 110 volt electric outlet OR attach to a 12 volt battery (with optional battery adapter.) Begin by setting the digital clock to the correct time, program the times you wish to feed (up to 12 times) along with amounts, (5 amount choices) and fill with food. Food will be dispensed day after day at the times and amounts chosen.

The double-feeder dispenses to each stall separately , insuring that both stalls receive the same amount of feed. The cylinder dispenses the required amount to one side, then dispenses the same amount to the other side of the unit, insuring that both sides get the same quantity up to 12 times per day. (If you need the animals to get different amounts, you must purchase two units)

Easy mounting. Mounts in or outside of stall. The hopper has pre-molded mounting screw holes in the back of the hopper. (Enclosed spout adapts to 2" PVC to deliver feed through the stall wall)

Quick Feed will dispense dry cat or dog food, pellets, and grain products. Use as a programmable, automatic livestock feeder, automatic goat feeder, pig and hog feeder, for feral cats, or other animals that eat pellets or grain. It is not designed to dispense any food product larger than large chunk dog food or pellets longer than one inch in length as it will stop the rotation of the cylinder, thereby damaging the motor. For farm animals, sweet feeds with wet molasses have a tendency to bridge above the dispensing mechanism not allowing the feed to drop down into the chute.

Not an auger-driven unit. Quick Feed dispenses using a cylinder mechanism, which is far superior to an auger, which tends to stick and bind.

Standard unit has 7 foot cord that plugs into standard 110 volt electrical outlet for safe, economical operation.

Solar Powered Units include everything that the regular units have but with 12-volt transformer, battery adapter, a normal life dry cell 12-volt battery and solar charger (no 110 volt plug). Has a 7 foot cord to connect the unit to the solar charger. Batteries measure approx 4"x3"x4".

Battery with 110 volt Trickle Feeder If you have unreliable power, operate your Quick Feed from our normal 12-volt battery. The trickle charger plugs into your 110-volt receptacle maintaining the battery power at all times. When the 110-volt power goes out, the battery is still operating the feeder from the reserve charge.
