This De-icer is designed to float in the water tank .

They are thermostatically controlled with an automatic shut-off. The Styrofoam float is completely enclosed within a rugged plastic housing. The cord exits from the top of the unit. This gives the heater added stability and it is less likely to tip the tank. Patented.

ALL521G & ALL521G include the guard, which may be used with either the Floating De-Icer or Sinking De-Icer, and is specifically designed to protect a plastic stock tank or pond tank. The guard is made of galvanized wire, and is assembled without the use of welding. The end result is a much stronger Guard which is less effected by rust and corrosion. Patent pending.

ALLP7521 & ALLP7621 have no guard and are usually used in ponds. They have 15' cord.
